Only one week to go! Manufacturing Business Recovery Webinar Announced by GBSIoT

It's only one week to go until the second webinar in the Business Recovery series from Greater Birmingham and Solihull Institute of Technology (GBSIoT)* which will take place on the morning of Tuesday 29 September 2020 at 10:00am.

The Business Recovery webinar series is being produced by Birmingham City University (BCU) on behalf of GBSIoT and delivered in conjunction with the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) and Made in the Midlands.

The aim of GBSIoT is to support performance of manufacturing businesses and their supply chain to meet their customer demand and maintain business through the current economic environment.

The one-hour webinar entitled Innovation And Skills: How To Adapt For The Future, will be hosted by Paul Faulkner – Chief Executive at GBCC. It will bring together manufacturing industry leaders to explore key issues for manufacturing businesses as they seek to recover and grow.

The webinar will include speakers from FANUC UKEnvisage Group Ltd, Salts Healthcare, Alucast Ltd and the Advanced Services Group (Aston University)

Topics to be explored include:

  • Industry 4.0- Adoption of automation to maintain productivity through testing times
  • The changing landscape of engineering roles and disciplines and how technology is attracting a new diverse workforce.
  • Managing Learning and Development to meet the present and future challenges on business
  • How to optimise outcomes from a higher education partnership
